Happy Bastille Day! This day marked the start of the French revolution when a mob of Frenchmen, tired of the rule of their king, stormed a prison to get weapons and free prisoners. This year military parade on Champs-Elysées is back! So are fireworks over the Eiffel tower. Maybe we can all have a French desert tonight in honor of this festive holiday!

These kids have spent 5 years together, exploring the world cultures on Sundays. Some started as young as 5 in our first ever Sunday class run by two teachers. This June they graduated having learned about Russian history in depth. What a journey it has been! (the photos are traveling back in time with the last photo from Nov 2016). Thank you for all the hugs, the dances, poems, and food! Cant wait to get back to more of that in the Fall :).

Photo of some of the oldest flowering plants on our planet. Orchids had to develop an amazing variety of colors to attract insects to pollinate. Lucky us that they did and we could learn all about them this year 🙂
